Achieving the exact paint colour match is a vital part of any restoration or refinishing project at Avon Refinishing, Christchurch.
Our specialist team ensures close attention to detail and precision in all aspects of our work, however it's especially important to achieve an exact colour match – here's how we do it!
This beautiful Classic 67 Mustang Convertible entered our workshop for some bodywork repairs, due to a few corrosion spots and a two-stage machine polish!

As part of the process, our team had to replicate this interpretation of a 1960s colour called 'lime gold.'
To ensure a good colour match, we created a variety of spray-out cards to swatch shades, and determine the closest colour match. Due to the colour's high metallic content, it's important that we take into consideration the side tones of each spray-out from a variety of angles and in different lights to best match the original colour and ensure a flawless blend.
