Classic 1980 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 – Silverado Trim & Custom Paintwork

We recently had the pleasure of transforming this classic 1980 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4, an iconic American muscle truck. This Chevy Blazer came into our workshop to receive the Silverado trim upgrade, along with the iconic white side panel paintwork that defines this legendary model.

Before any paint was applied, we carefully lined up all Silverado trim components and drilled every mounting hole in advance. This crucial step ensures perfect alignment and, most importantly, prevents damage to fresh paintwork later in the process. Attention to detail at this stage is key to achieving a factory-correct finish on classic vehicles like the K5 Blazer.

Once preparation was complete, we moved on to painting the iconic side panel. The panel was professionally sprayed and colour-matched to the white roof, creating a clean, authentic look true to the original Silverado styling. 

While the Blazer was in our care, we also addressed signs of rust on the bonnet. The affected area was treated, repaired and resprayed to match the rest of the bodywork, ensuring both longevity and a flawless finish. 

With the paint fully cured, we securely installed all of the Silverado trim pieces, bringing the entire look together. The result is a beautifully restored 1980 Chevy K5 Blazer 4x4 that combines classic American design with high-quality modern workmanship.
